Flute Workshops
Not your typical masterclass: No individual performing, no long days listening to others play, and materials sent in advance. This course is specifically designed for adult amateur flutists who want to improve their playing in just 5 days... without burnout!

Work on tone, technique, breathing, ensemble playing, and more! Then spend your afternoons and evenings relaxing and taking in the sights of Pittsburgh.

Level 1: For flutists who recently started the flute and/or consider themselves "beginners". Perfect for those who have never had a lesson or are early in their lessons. Example materials you might be working on if this class is right for you: Rubank Elementary Method, Flute 101, some one octave major scales
Level 2: For flutists who have been playing a few years, and need some help working on technique and sound fundamentals. Perfect for students who have been self taught for years or who have been taking lessons a few years but need some extra help and confidence. Maybe you have been playing for years and don't quite feel ready to join an ensemble just yet. Example materials you might be working on if this class is right for you: Rubank Intermediate Method, Flute 101.5/102, all or most one octave major scales and some two octave scales
Level 3: For flutists who consider themselves in that limbo between "intermediate" and "advanced". You have been playing a while and hold your own in some ensembles, but you don't consider yourself "advanced" yet. Maybe you hear players in your ensemble and think you could never be THAT good. Think again! Example materials you might be working on if this class is right for you: Rubank Intermediate/Advanced, Flute 102/103, all or most major scales at least 2 octaves, some etudes and solos.

Piccolo Workshops

Just like the flute workshops, but for piccolo! A course specifically designed for adult amateur flutists to help you fall in love with the smallest member of the flute family. It gets a bad wrap, but it is truly magical to play when you have the right tools!

For piccolo players who consider themselves beginner to intermediate. Maybe you have never had a piccolo lesson, or you have not really thought of piccolo differently than flute, or maybe you just need a fun refresher, this is for you!

Alto Flute Workshop
A course specifically designed for adult amateur flutists looking to learn or develop their early alto flute skills. Maybe you would like to play alto in your local flute choir, or at a convention, or just love the rich sound it has. This is your chance to enhance your alto skills in one week and sign up for that alto part with confidence!
